🌸 Square It Out (Green or background color)

  1. Attach yarn in space between two petals.
  2. Ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in same space, dc in next stitch, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next corner space, repeat around.

🧵 Step 2: Join the Squares

Arrange the squares in a 2×2, 3×3, or 4×2 pattern depending on your bag size.
Use the join-as-you-go method or whip stitch the squares together with yarn and a yarn needle.

  • Optional: Add 1–2 squares for the side and bottom panels for depth.

👜 Step 3: Assemble the Bag

  1. Sew together all the panels: front, back, bottom, and sides.
  2. Make a strap:
    • Crochet a long strap with single crochet rows (approx. 2″ wide x 40–50″ long), OR
    • Use a ready-made strap and sew it to the bag sides.
  3. Optional:
    • Line the bag with fabric (cut to size, sew inside).
    • Add a zipper or magnetic snap for closure.

💡 Tips:

  • Block your granny squares before joining for a cleaner look.
  • Use a sturdy cotton yarn if you want durability.
  • Reinforce the strap connection with extra stitching.
